Nizza DOCG Riserva Violanda
— Vintage 2019
Tasting Notes
A story that begins hundreds of years ago, deep roots stretching from Australian Queensland to the rolling hills of Asti, culminating in a refined Barbera, eternally named Violanda.
A deep red color when young with a tendency toward garnet red that develops with aging.
The accompanying vinous scent on the nose is pleasantly intense yet delicate, with notes of plum and cherry alongside ripe fruit and a magical hint of spice reminiscent of licorice.
The palate is round, dry and with remarkable fullness of body, mellowing over time.
Perfect accompaniment with savory appetizers, red meats, roasts and cheeses.
Serving temperature 17-18°C.
Fish dishes and desserts should be avoided.
Perfect for those who like full-bodied, round wines.
